Nutritional Medicine in Reproductive Health, Weight Management and Sports Nutrition
This is the fifth of 6 courses in the ROHP-Qualifying Program (Registered Orthomolecular Health Practitioners).
This course consists of the following subjects:
- Male and Female Reproductive Health
- Sports Nutrition Part 1 and Sports Nutrition Part 2 (Ergogenic Aids)
- Weight Management Programming
1. Male and Female Reproductive Health
This course reviews age-related changes, hormonal shifts, and pathophysiological conditions affecting male and female reproductive systems. Topics include PMS, menopause, PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, male andropause, BPH, and prostate cancer prevention.
Learning Objectives:
- 1. The student will develop an in-depth understanding, at the biochemical and neuroendocrine levels, of key age-related changes that lead to signs and symptoms of male andropause and affect the risk of prostate enlargement (BPH) and prostate cancer.
- 2. The student will have the skills to evaluate key anthropometric, blood and urine analysis findings and other key biomarkers, to establish the degree of andropause symptomatology and risk of prostate cancer development.
- 3. The student will have the skills to provide personalized dietary, supplementation and exercise protocols to patients, shown to reverse many andropause signs and symptoms.
2. Sports Nutrition Part 1 & 2
This course reviews evidence-based nutrition and supplementation practices shown to enhance lean mass gains, explosive strength, endurance performance, and speed endurance, while supporting immune function and sports injury recovery.
Learning Objectives:
- 1. The student will develop an in-depth understanding of exercise physiology and the contribution of key macronutrients in energy production.
- 2. The student will have an in-depth understanding of the human clinical studies showing the ergogenic effects of specific dietary strategies, supplements, water, and electrolyte replenishment.
- 3. The student will have the skills to provide patients with personalized dietary and supplementation strategies to enhance athletic performance and lean mass gains.
3. Weight Management Programming
In this course, Dr. Meschino teaches the exact step-by-step weight management program that earned him a high success rate with patients and a continuous flow of new patients seeking the help of his proven weight management coaching program.
Learning Objectives:
- 1. The student will be armed with proven marketing tools and have the ability to execute the promotion of a weight management program.
- 2. The student will have the skills to conduct an intake consultation and initial exam on a weight management patient.
- 3. The student will have the skills to explain to the patient The Two Staple Nutrition System and related food preparation guide and shopping list.
